Promotion description

The Gourmet Host $150 Swag Draw (“Draw”) begins on August 9, 2026 and ends on December 31, 2026 (the “Promotion Period”). The Draw is sponsored by The Gourmet Host (“Sponsor”). By participating, each Entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects. The Sponsor is responsible for the administration of the Draw and can be contacted through our Contact Us page.

Eligibility

The Draw is open to legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry (the “Entrant”). Employees, officers, and directors of the Sponsor, its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors, sales representatives, advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members and household members are not eligible to enter or win. Immediate Family Members include parents, step-parents, guardians, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings, and spouses, regardless of where they live.

How to enter

Enter during the Promotion Period using either or both of the following methods. Both methods are free, and no purchase or payment of any kind is required by either.

1. Email entry (one entry). Submit the Dinner Notes sign-up form at thegourmethost.com/join-dinner-notes/ with your first name, email address, and country. This is a complete and valid entry on its own.
2. App entry (five additional entries). Download The Gourmet Host app, free of charge, from the Apple App Store or Google Play, and activate an account using the same email address submitted in method one. The Sponsor will verify app entries by matching the email address on the activated account against the email address on the entry. An app download without an activated account, or an account activated under a different email address, will not be credited.

The maximum number of entries per Entrant is six (6). Downloading the app is free and is not a purchase. Entering by email alone is also a valid entry.

By entering, Entrants agree to receive marketing communications from The Gourmet Host, with the option to unsubscribe at any time. Automated or robotic entries will be disqualified. Entries containing false information, incomplete submissions, or any breach of these Official Rules may also result in disqualification at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Final eligibility for the award of any prize is subject to verification as set forth below. All entries must be submitted by the end of the Promotion Period. The Sponsor’s database clock will be the official timekeeper for the Draw.

Winner selection

The winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. The drawing will take place approximately 7 days after the end of the Promotion Period and will be conducted by the Sponsor or its designated representatives, whose decisions are final. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

Winner notification

The winner will be notified by email approximately 7 days after the random drawing. The potential winner must respond by email within 7 days of notification to claim the prize. The Sponsor is not responsible for any delay or failure to receive notification due to inactive email accounts, technical difficulties, or a winner’s failure to monitor their email. If a potential winner does not respond within the required time, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.

Prize

One (1) prize consisting of $150 CAD in The Gourmet Host merchandise. No substitution, cash equivalent, or transfer of the prize is permitted except by the Sponsor. Before the prize is awarded, the winner must correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question, and must provide proof of residence in a Canadian province or territory excluding Quebec. The winner is responsible for any taxes associated with the prize.

Apple and Google

This Draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Apple Inc. or Google LLC. Entrants understand that they are providing their information to the Sponsor and not to Apple Inc. or Google LLC. Apple Inc. and Google LLC are completely released from all liability by each Entrant in connection with this Draw.

Privacy

By entering the Draw, Entrants consent to the collection and use of their personal information in accordance with The Gourmet Host’s Privacy Policy. As part of the entry process, Entrants agree to be added to The Gourmet Host’s Dinner Notes newsletter distribution list. Personal information will be used to administer the Draw, communicate with Entrants, and provide updates and promotions from The Gourmet Host. Your information will not be shared or sold to third parties, except as necessary for these purposes or as required by law. Limitation of liability

By entering, Entrants agree to release and hold harmless The Gourmet Host and its affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from participation in the Draw and/or the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof.

Disputes

This Draw is governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without respect to conflict of law doctrines. As a condition of participating in this Draw, Entrants agree that any disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Draw, shall be resolved individually, without resorting to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Ontario, Canada.

Winner list

To obtain a copy of the winner list, send your request along with a stamped, self-addressed envelope to The Gourmet Host, cc: $150 Swag Draw, 2967 Dundas St. W. #142D, Toronto, Ontario, M6P 1Z2 Canada. Requests for the name of the winner must be received no later than 30 days after the Promotion Period has ended.
