Your next dinner party is about to get a little more gourmet and a whole lot easier.

Welcome to The Gourmet Host, your home for all things cooking, gathering, and home entertainment.

We develop tools that help streamline the journey from menu idea to post-dinner toasts, making dinner party hosting feel smooth, collaborative, and fun.

Who doesn’t love an excuse to gather around food?

…but the endless hours of planning? Pass.

Between coordinating five or more different meal planning apps, checking in on the group chat for dietary needs, and sequencing food prep, hosting gets overwhelming.

We spent more time managing logistics than actually connecting with guests.

There were always dishes to plate, drinks to refill, obscure ingredients to source, and last-minute guests to accommodate. Instead of savoring the meal, we were tethered to our hosting duties.

Hundreds of dinner parties later, we asked ourselves:

“What if dinner party hosting didn’t have to feel like a sacrifice?”

What if we had one place to streamline the end-to-end process? Better yet, what if there were easy ways to share the hosting duties? What if guests could become flavor co-conspirators?

*Cue an elaborate mindmap with all the integrated features our “perfect co-host” would have—a recipe library, categorized grocery lists, event to-do lists, budget managers, cost-splitting features, invites, and more.*

An easier way to gather and create meaningful rituals.

The Gourmet Host App provides flavor-lovers with integrated tools for easy entertaining. We believe hosting should be collaborative, stress-free, and approachable, so that you can spend more time experimenting with new flavors and cry-laughing over a new inside joke (and less time stressing about making last-minute vegan dishes).

We’re on a mission to make dinner party planning as easy as ordering takeout on a Tuesday night.

Meet Your Gourmet Hosts

David Jubé

When it comes to dinner parties, David is one of the rare few that genuinely loves the process of planning, executing, and reflecting on how to improve things in the future. With a professional background in Systems Design Engineering, he brings a Type A approach to the kitchen, asking questions like “How can we make this more efficient?”. Above all, David does it for the looks on his guests’ faces when they bite into a dish he poured his heart into—and the intimacy that’s established over a shared meal.

Favorite Recipe Site: Love & Lemons
Favorite Kitchen Tool: Weber Barbeque & Miele Combi Steam Oven
What he wishes more people knew about hosting: People are more starved for social connection than ever before. Simplifying the gathering process not only makes life easier, but meets our collective need for more meaningful connections.

Talia Jubé

For Talia, hosting is more about building strong relationships than about being an amazing chef. She loves a themed night and how it gives her an excuse to experiment with new flavors, recipes, and especially décor. As a teacher, Talia’s a pro at planning and getting things done within a certain timeframe. But when it comes to dinner, she prefers not to be rushed by the time constraints of dining out, which is what inspired her to start hosting more from home. Talia loves watching her kitchen slowly fill up with friends and family, where dinner turns into an all-night affair.

Favorite Recipe Site: Two Kooks in the Kitchen
Favorite Kitchen Tool: Miele Combi Steam Oven, OXO Microwaveable Egg Cooker, & Panini Press
What she wishes more people knew about hosting: Don’t be shy to ask people to contribute dishes so you’re not doing it all!

A few ingredients we put in every TGH dish:

  • Cooking and hosting can be fun and collaborative
  • Hospitality builds meaningful relationships
  • Veggies are just as delicious as meat
  • Gathering is vital to social well-being
  • Going to bed early is overrated (especially when the dinner party banter is good!)
